I'm a writer, cheeky conversationalist and all-around creative crazy person.I'm inspired equally by George Bernard Shaw and Amy Sedaris----and a thousand points in between. My interests may seem insanely random but they are tightly focused---and they knit together to create the person that I am.... About This Blog

The inspiration behind the title 1000follies comes from a line of poetry by the delicious Edna St. Vincent Millay. Taken in context, in its original form, it has a meaning of lament, shame and despair. However, for me, the phrase, taken by itself, elicits an entirely different response, thus altering its meaning to one of celebration and enjoyment.
How boring would a life of perfection be? How wasteful is a life of regret? Life is an imperfect circus, a discourse with follies both personal and universal; it should be celebrated for what it is, down to the smallest detail.
I am just a writer among thousands trying to carve her small niche in the world. This blog is for the overflow of my creativity. The rest of it is currently engaged on a novel (its very first) , another web-site or two and a 'zine. What doesn't fit in the above will probably end up here. Don't fret, that isn't a bad thing; homeless ideas have to go somewhere. I promise you eventual , albeit eclectic, cohesion in the content. Thanks for stopping by and please come back regularly!
